Replaced the disk in my wd netcenter . Don't seem to work

Hi ,

My netcenter disk crashed, and i replaced it with a new disk of the same brand/model.  Now i am unable to access the netcenter hardware.  Mist vendors keep firmware in flash,  I really hope not WD stores firmware on the disk.

Some seconds after PowerOn i get link on the Ethernet interface, but sniffing with wireshark reveals that no other activity happens.

Anyone having a good guide on how to reflash the OS on the WD netcenter ?

You won’t be able to use a newer drive on the NetCenter, even though it may seem to be the same model.  The firmware is written for certain models, that have certain id’s to them.  If your drive is not recognized as one of those it won’t work.
