OK, they tell one how to connect the Element…AND THAT IS ALL! STUPID! I may return it to Amazon. It can’t be turned off, light blinks…WHY? Light steady…Why?? No information anywhere.
I believe you must have WD SmartWare installed on your PC for the power button to work.
Why is that not documented? I don’t know – maybe because no one really ever uses the button and they just let their PC manage the power.
