Hi everybody,
I’m wondering what the process dms-smm is doing all the time, since it’s using ~40% of CPU and causes permanent blinking of the front LED of the MBLD.
I believe it has something to do with DLNA data base, but what exactly?
Bests,
Tobi

Hello,
dms_smm is the built-in WD DLNA server.
Take a look at this link:

If you experience problems with the DLNA server you should consider installing Twonky. Many users have problems with the WD DLNA server which is shipped with the Live Duo. If you bought the device for streaming media, this is the only way to make it usable.
