dms_smm using 100% cpu

Hi, I’m running the newest 2.41 firmware with the new WD DLNA server. I notice that there is a process dms_smm that’s using up the cpu. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t using 100% cpu yesterday, but today it’s been doing that for hours. I guest this has to do with the new WD DLNA server. What’s going on?

Same problem here. Any solutions?

ok. update… It doesn’ run 100% anymore, but when it did it ran 100% for hours… Don’t know if that’s a problem or actually normal behaviour…

It’s normal.

I love it if they put a faster CPU and more RAM in this My Book Live.

There is a MK808 for $50 out. It’s like a small USB stick and has a 2 core ARM CPU can run at 1.6 GHz each core. 1GB of RAM. It be neat if they put 2GB RAM in them.

Can install Linux on it. Here is the CPU and RAM info same commands on both of them.

It be grate if WD or the people making the MK808 could make a board that plug right in to the SATA port with a Ethernet port on it. But with the CPU and RAM like the MK808. Can look up MK808 to see what I am talking about. Can put the WD mybook on it with USB and can install the Linux on that. I have mine on a WD mybook 3TB it works super good. But no Ethernet or SATA port on it. Just USB and Wi-Fi. Can put a USB to Ethernet on it. USB 2.0 on them.
