Hi,
I bought a Western Digital Caviar Green WD15EARS 1.5TB 64MB and i am using it as a secondary drive for my desktop. I am having a few issues with the drive, first let me tell you this is my second drive, i RMA’d my old one and they sent me a new one and now i am having trouble with this one.
The troubles are listed below

on start up the drive is not recognized by computer, i have to go into device manager and click “find plug and play devices” then it shows up

the only program on the hardrive is Steam this takes about 3 min to start up and 50% of the time crashes trying to start up, while starting up there is no strain on CPU or memory, it has to be the harddrive

the drive slows down start up incredibly, from bios to login and login to me being able to use the computer, this takes about 5 min
So if anyone has any idea what the hell the problem is let me know.

Last night I turned on my computer and after an hour of working the drive dropped out, tried to do the “find plug and play” again nothing, i will check tonight to see if its back
