WDTV Live SMP DTS-HD bug

Hi all,

I have a question about a work-around for the DTS-HD bug with the SMP’s latest firmware.

If I output the video over HDMI direct to my TV and use optical-out for audio to my receiver, would this be a decent work-around or will the player still try to pass the full DTS-HD track over optical (surely not?!)

So it seems the new firmware does not fix this bug. Have WD even acknowledged this bug?
