WDBAAU0010HBK-AESN : External Drive missing AC power plug. Need power specs a.s.a.p

Unit is a new but an older WD Elements Drive 1 terrabyte and I can’t find the power specs.

I need to back up a system real soon - its Drive is sounding unhappy and not testing cleanly!  :-{

I can pick up a power supply locally if I can be sure of the power output - and how to install use the thing - am also missing the instructions.

(Can’t find anythin on the Website here to help)

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

Since this a user to user forum, you might need to contact WD Support for this matter.

Also if the drive is under warranty, they will assist you with instructions on how to use the drive.

Check the link below for contact information for WD.

According to WD’s site it’s 12 Volts, 1.5 Amps, 18 Watts.

Still, don’t call on me if you burn it. Check with WD if they sell the original power adapter.
