Hello, I’m Glen from Belgium and my remote for the wd tv live from 2009 is broken, where can I get a new one? I’ve tried to register at wd support but it keeps telling registration is unsucsessfull. I hope someone can help me here.

You can use the remote for the newest WD players as well, but the extra buttons just won’t work. The regular buttons will work fine, though.

And yes, the equivalent buttons on that remote will work on your older player.
(Power, Home, Arrows, OK, Stop, Rew, FF, Back, Options, Previous / Next TITLE, Search and Eject.)
The other additional buttons (number pad, color buttons, Next / Previous PAGE, Subtitles, Audio) do not work as far as I know.
