WD TV Live can not see my pc on the network

Hi all,

I received my WD TV Live box in the post today and set it up only to discover that it does not recognise my PC on my windows 7 home network and therefore I can’t watch any of my media throught it. Weird though, because when I run the tests on the WD TV it says everything is working fine!

I’m using a Sky f @ st  2504N Router, has anybody else had the same problem and if so can you help me out with a solution?

Most likely problems are:

  • Network Discovery is disabled on the PC.
  • Workgroup names on the PC and WDTV are different.
  • Network Sharing not correctly enabled on the PC.
