hi there … i just bought a new my cloud ex2 ultra.
i am using the following products:
.) mac - macbook - iphone - ipad - windows laptop (samsung)
so far i am using onedrive for my data sync which works perfect on all my machines. that means all my data is snychronised between my imac, my macbook an my windows laptop within the onedrive folder.
so i was expecting wd sync to to the same on all my devices - well i was hoping …
BUT:
wd sync on my mac devices (imac and macbook) does the following:
1.) transfers files from one device to nas - OK
2.) dosn’t transfer files to my other device - NOT OK
3.) changing files on my device will change files on nas - OK
4.) changing files on my nas will NOT change files on my device - NOT OK
so this is kind of a backup so far but called wd sync.
browsing the web it says that this window should pop up during installation and setup - well, even after 3 or 4 times installing wd sync it DID NOT SHOW UP:
if there is any help out there it will be appreciated very much - otherwise i will send the nas back to amazon cause it is useless for me without synchronising.

by the way: after installing wd sync on the mac the icon on the menu bar goes invisible - i tried to install a few times till i found out it is still there cause there is no other way to access wd sync - seems there is still a lot of work to do for the wd crew!
