WD Smartware not reconising My Book Essential

Hi

Last week i bought a My Book Essential 4TB.
But the disk is not recognized as a my book by WD Smartware Like my other My Books.
This means that i cannot access the setting of My Book Essential like the power settings.
Is there some way of fixing this?

The current generation of WD My Book units do not work with the regular version of WD SmartWare. Instead they use WD Backup for backups, WD Drive Utilities for power settings/diagnostics, and WD Security for encryption management.
