I was able to get my NAS working again after using his post as a guide, and some google searching. Unfortunately the whole process can take up to a day, and is not a permanent fix. If the NAS restarts, the process will have to be done again.
From the release notes, it does look like an updated firmware could fix this issue, but according to the e-mail I received from technical support today, the updated firmware is not available, and there is no ETA.
If you can get a refund for this product, I would and find something different. If not, your only option may be to just wait til they fix the issue.
