WD Red Compatability (with IBM System x3100 M4)

Hi,

I am about to buy IBM server system ( IBM System x3100 M4) to build NAS, but still wondering if WD red drive is compatible with IBM System.

Any comment / recommendation ?

It’s hard to tell compatibility of drives to a computer system, usually this type of compatibility info will come from the system manufacturer, which in this case is IBM. Typically as long as the computer can support the drive capacity that you want to use and it falls within the drives compatibility it should work. For WD Red this would include a light workload and no more than 5 drives in the array. I included a link to the other specs for the drive below:
