WD Quick View Cannot be removed

I’m trying to install Smartware but installation stops with the message that "the old version of WD Quick View cannot be removed.

I can’t find this still on my computer and imagine it must be a vestige of an earlier uninstall. This is especially frustrating as I like to back up using the MyCloud Smartware software to my drive. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

If you have looked in the Control Panel>Programs and you do not see it try a shutdown and restart of your computer. After this try the install again.

If the above does not work and you get the same message then look at Start and all of your programs. If it is under Western Digital, drop down menu, then right click on Quick View and Uninstall. See example image below.
