I recently purhased and installed a 3tb live book drive and installed the cd software. The drive appears to be working; I have mapped it and have copied 273gb to it so far. The wd smartware and quickview seemed to install ok and I have program paths, startup icons etc., but when I click on the icon for either nothing happens.
Any suggestions? Should I uninstall and re-install? If I uninstall will this affect the data and my ability to get at it (I am manually copying it to another, non-network, ext hd since I cannot run any backups without smartware)?
