WD passport for mac to FAT32 or NTFS

Hi there,  i use a MacBook Pro and have a WD passport for mac.  I want to download files on the passport to then watch on my LG TV using the USB port.  LG said it needs to be formatted to FAT32 or NTFS for the TV to recognise it.  Can someone please take me through step by step on how to reformat the hard drive?  I am quite new to this.  Thanks.

Using FAT32 file size is limited to 4 GB.  If you will be using the drive for HD movies I recommend you to install NTFS-3G on your Mac, and have the drive formatted to NTFS
