2TB Passport ultra not recognised by my TV

I bought two WD my passport ultras yesterday. I have a Mac computer so formatted them both to mac format. i then moved some video files over to both. They both work perfectly on my computers but will not be recognised by my tv at all. I have WD Passports and WD Elements that are formatted the same and have no problem on the same TV. Can you please let me know what I need to do further to get these working on my TV. 

I have not turned on the password facilities at all.

Many drives for video devices need to be formatted FAT32.

most likely true for old devices … but my 3yr Old Panasonic TV reads NTFS fine

I’m not a Mac person,  HFS / HFS+ … Journaling On/Off , exactly the same for all drives (working and non-working)

partition type the same ?  MBR / GPT ?
