WD My Passport Ultra 1 TB crashed

Dear all,

My WD Passport Ultra 1 TB completely crashed after moving a large file to the external hard drive. All laptops at home recognises the HD and even the PlayStation 4 recognises it. But it doesn’t show up in My Computer. I tried to format the HD, but it failed. Then I ran Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows, but it failed because there were too many errors. I also ran TestDisk, but it shows that the HD is not readable. Furthermore I ran more common software to analyze the HD, but all failed.

What to do?

It seems like the drive has gone bad. You should replace the drive if it is under warranty period.
