WD My Passport Ultra 1.5T cannot be recognized WIN7

WD Community:

I need help with my usb drive. I was using the usb drive fine, and it crashed and it crashed my explorer. So I had to restart my PC, afterwards, I cannot get my usb drive connected anymore.

Things I have tried:

1: different usb ports

2: restarting PC and reconnect

3: reinstalling drivers

4: use different usb3.0 wires

5: use CMD- diskpart - listvolume, hoping to fix it, I read someone else’s post, but “list volume” doesn’t show the usb so I cannot find it.

It is not broken, it is fine, because it works fine on my laptop, it just does not show up in my PC anymore. I really need help here, I need to process the data from work in it on my PC ASAP.

Meanwhile, when I connect it to my PC, after a while, because it’s not recoginized, the light on the side BLINKS slowly. Don’t know if this information is useful or not.

Thank you very much.

Hi there and welcome to the WD community.

If the drive shows up normally on another computer, try to uninstall the drive from device manager on the PC that does not recognizing the drive. Hope this helps.
