- WD My Passport for MAC Folder can't be opened because I don't have permissions

I am trying to open a folder which contains all my backups. I was able to access it yesterday but today it has a red ‘no entry’ symbol on it and it says “folder cannot be opened because you don’t have permission to see its content.”

Nothing changed apart from hearing a bit of a whirring noise in the Hard Drive which has now stopped.
Really appreciate any help.

Depending on the OS that you are running, you can change the permissions on the folders.

I am having the same problem as above and want to fix the problem!!! The link in the above is not working … I need my files.
