Hey WD,
I’m wondering if the WD My Cloud (consumer version) will get the ability to install apps. I would really like to use Bittorrent Sync 2.0 with my MyCloud but it seems this is limited to the EX series. Just want to know so I can decide if you should hold on this My Cloud or sell and upgrade to the EX series.

no supported methode to install apps
there is a procedure by Nazr78 to install transmission torrent that works well
Unforunately it doesn’t but the My cloud Mirror supports some apps which is a bit cheaper that the EX version but the mirror is excatly that so has some drawbacks if you want it to operate like the my cloud.
My Cloud Mirror Supports aMule and Transmission but not got this to work with the My Cloud annoyingly.
