WD My Book Duo 12TB for PC accessed by a Mac

Hello all

I have just purchased a WD My Book Duo 12TB. The drive will be connected to my D Link modem and used to access all my movies and shows via my iOS devices inc AppleTV 4. The drive will contain content for both adults and kids and will use Firecore Infuse 4 to play the media.

Is there a WD driver/software available that allows my Mac to access the drive similar to how Seagate provide the program NTFS for Max OS X? Or will I still be able to still see the basic directory and be able to drop media into the required directories??

Thanks

You can use your WD My Book Duo with a Mac computer. Out of the box it uses the NTFS (Windows) file system, which your Mac can only read and not write into. However, you can use WD Drive Utilities for Mac in order to change the unit’s file system to HFS+ (Mac) or exFAT (Cross-platform).

Bear in mind your router may not support exFAT. As such, it would be best to confirm supported file systems.
