I have a WD external drive (2 TB) that I can not add files from my MAC. Is there a way I can make it work?
I do have an older WD (500 GB) and on this one I can add files from my MAC.

I have not. I was thinking in doing that. Will it work after for MAC? If I do it will it ask me if will be formatted for MAC or PC?

For your information, NTFS file system is for windows and Mac OSX Extended journaled files system is for Mac. If you want to use the drive in both mac and windows then you have to reformat the drive in exFAT. Please refer to the link given below for more information.
