I bought my WD My Book 8tb a day ago from Best Buy. When I set it up, hooking it up to my Xbox One, it made noises when running. When ever it writes to the drive I can hear it. Whenever I shut my Xbox down I can hear the drive. I have a WD My Book 3tb and also a 4tb, neither of these makes any sound. Is this sound normal for an 8tb drive?
I tried to submit a question to support but it kept telling me my s/n was incorrect even though it matched the s/n from the bottom of my device. Not sure what happened there. So I created a community account in hopes of finding out whether or not my new drive us behaving normally.
