I have an WD Elements 25A1(SN: WX91DC89DKAH) external hard drive that suddenly shows an “The disc you inserted was not readable by this computer” error when connected to either of my Macs. The drive is around three years old.
The disc does not show up on First Aid.
I am using an 2020 iBook Pro (Ventura 13.7.5) and an iMac (Yosemite 10.10.5)
Everything was working fine a week ago.
Is there any way I can cheaply and safely restore the data on the WD hard drive?
