I recently bought a WD Elements External Hard Drive. It works fine except for the fact that I am required to enter my computer password every time I drag a folder or document from my desktop Macbook Air to the drive. Is this built in to the drive or is it an Apple issue?
sounds like an Apple issue … as WD Elements Hard drive range feature no hardware or software encryption or password protection.
