WD Elements 2TB

I have a WD Elements 2TB external drive for my iMac that is running High Sierra for Time Machine backups only.

I have a bunch of stuff on there that I no longer need and want to reformat the drive for Time Machine to start over - No portions are needed.

Since I’m not very technical, I want to ask the folks on this site for the right way to do this.

Thank you in advance.

Tom

Hi tpiorkowski,

You can follow below KBA to reformat your drive for Mac Time Machine on iMac. However, you need to take a backup of data if have any important as it’s a data destructive process and can’t be undone.
