Hi every one.
I have an external WD element 1 TB hard drive which I bought 2 and a half years ago.
It was working just fine and all my important data was on it.
Few weeks ago, suddenly it is not recognized on any computer. This is what exactly happening when I connect it:
The led lights up and the sound is perfectly normal but it doesn’t appear on the computer even on the disk management.
Then after around 2 minutes while its connected, a strange click sound comes out (one click not repeating) from the WD (like its disconnecting) then exactly after that it appears on the disk management only. It appears not initialized with unallocated space just like the picture:
This happens on every computer I tried. The initializing option is not active. Even when I try to make the device offline it say “Device is not ready”
The data on the hard is really important to me. I tried asking some professional help they wanted a huge amount of money just to check if they can recover the data or not. I googled then tried so many recovery program which took too long time then they found nothing. I some thread there was a suggestion to open the case and try connect it directly though SATA instead of USB but the hard desk appears to have no SATA connection only, the USB port is directly soldered to the board.
So, I’m out of ideas. I don’t even know the cause of that strange issue to try to fix it. But I’m still guessing that at the end it will appear to be a tiny problem that needs a simple solution that I didn’t try yet. So please help me if you know any thing that can helps.
Thank you
