WD Data Lifeguard does not find working internal WD 2TB hard drive

Subject says it all…

I have a Western Digital SATA hard drive installed inside my Windows 10 PC. The drive is fully functional in Windows. This is a WD20EARS-00S8B1 drive.

Using other software I see a SMART warning, so I want to do some diagnostics. I’ve just downloaded and installed the WD Data Lifeguard software. When I start the software I can see all the hard drives in my system except for the 2TB WD drive. I currently have 5 drives installed in this PC.

Does anyone know why this drive is not appearing? Is there a way to specify a drive when starting WD Lifeguard?

Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool doesn’t see non WD internal drives and there may be some jumper settings in BIOS due to which it is not recognisible. You should check out below provided link in this concern:
