Viewing Passport files on TV

I have an older WD Passport Ultra on which I have copied movies and viewed them on a Sharp TV.

I have a newer WD Passport USB 3 on which I have copied movies; the TV recognizes that there is something attached via the USB but shows no files.

Would appreciate any ideas on how to deal with this. Thank you

A lot of TV’s only support MBR (Master Boot Record) Partitions.

Older WD Drives = MBR

Newer WD Drives = GPT (GUID Partition Table)

You’ll have to convert GPT > MBR (Note: MBR only supports a Max of 2TB)
