Using Smartware to backup a WD Live Duo network drive

Hi,

I’ve just bought a 6TB WD Live Duo drive. I have partitioned it into 2 x 3TB drives using RAID.

I have just started to get to know Smartware backup software. I have successfully backed up my laptop to an external hard drive connected by USB. But I cannot back up my Live Duo drive to another external drive. Is this not allowed or do I need to use another programme? The dropdown tab in the Backup Source section does not show the network drive only the USB connected drives.

Your help would be appreciated,

Hello,

This is not supported with WD Smartware but you can backup your My Book Live using Safepoints.

Check page #86 of the User’s Manual.
