Upgrading Storage on PR4100

My Cloud OS 3 Personal & Network Attached Storage My Cloud Pro Series

Can any one advise on how to upgrade / expand storage capacity on PR4100 without loosing data. I dont have any other drives to back up files.
Also, do I have to use teh WD Red 5400 drives or can i use other ones such as Seagate, and the WD 7200 or even SATA.
