I hope you can answer the following question to me?
I want to buy the EX4 soon but I read in another thread that you can actually upgrade its memory.
Sadly, that’s all information I can find.
So, my question is: Is it really possible to upgrade the memory?
And if so, which modules can you put in and what’s the maximum memory size?
Currently, upgrading the memory RAM of the unit is only supported on the following products. WD My Cloud DL2100, WD My Cloud DL4100, WD My Cloud EX2100 and WD My Cloud EX4100
Not sure if any of the users have tried that. Let’s see if someone can share more information about it.
Ups, I just recognized I messed up my first message.
Sure, I’m planning to buy a My Cloud EX4100 - according to your list it should be possible.
If anyone can share their information what kind of memory I can put in, I would buy it with the NAS and not after I have already received the NAS.
It would mean less work then, hehe.
I have an EX2100 - purchased in 2016, the 1gb memory can no longer handle the nas like it use to, even though i have one app running, i do want to upgrade the ram and thank you for confirming that it is possible but unsure what the limits are or the modules, is there a link anyone can provide?
