Trouble Reading Network Drive

So, I have three seperate WD TV Media players around my house, all attached to different TV’s. All of them play streamed content located on a central Synology Network drive.

I have had this set-up for years and all works well.

Today all of sudden, all three drives are really struggling to read the network drive. They can just about access the folder structure (most of the time) but can’t play actual files. I have tried rebooting all three products as well as the drive itself, all without joy. Funny thing is that if play files on the network drive from my laptop there is no issue at all.

I have no idea what is going on! Any ideas?
