Time Machine won't backup My Passport Ultra-Mac 10.13.3

Went away for a month, and Time Machine backups fail. OS 10.13.3 Time machine always BEGINS backups, does about 10 mg, stops (no error message, just stops).

I uninstalled WD applications, restarted who knows how many times. WD support does’t reply to any of my emails. Any ideas? Thanks.

Can’t see we drive
I am having similar issues. I can see my book 1.5 tv on disk utility but not on the finder window or desktop. Why would that happen? I’ve had a LaCie drive for over 2 years, never a problem. Dim repair didn’t do anything. And I don’t want to go through the hassle of disk recovery. Pls let me know what you find out. Thanks
