The WD TV has limited or no network connectivity

My friend keeps getting this: “The WD TV has limited or no network connectivity”. The WD TV had been running for more than a year.

He has tried just about everything. Everything was taken apart and put together again.

He tried to hook up automatically and by typing IP, DNS and so forth.

He brought his WD TV to my place. I have a WD TV that works just fine. We swapped and same problem. Every time we hook my WD TV up everything works like a charm, but not with my friends.

I also tried going back to factory default. Newest firmware is installed.

Maybe it’s just kaput.

Thoughts anyone?



Have you tried a hard reset and resetting the unit to factory settings?
