My WD Live Hub is hard wired with an ethernet cable. The box is shared on the network with a desktop pc, a pc laptop and mac laptop. I can see all files (music, photos and movies) on all computers. When I play music, I turn on the tv and use the WD interface to select music. I would love to send music wirelessly through my laptop to play, instead of using the tv. On the pc, someone mentioned I can ‘Play To’ for movies, not sure if this would work for a mac laptop with music. My mac would be more convenient, looking for tips to successfully do this, thanks!
do you mean to play the files on the hub through your Mac laptop over the network? or to control the hub with your laptop?
Control the hub with my laptop. I can bring my laptop anywhere and play files, no problem. But can’t figure out how to play the files from my laptop directly to my receiver wirelessly, without having to use the tv or connect laptop with audio cables. It would be convenient to just send songs to the stereo from the mac. Thx!
