Smartware Pro does not display other connected Non-WD drives under "Backup Target"

I just purchased the My Passport Ultra 2TB - the Smartware Pro backup software that extends backup function to non-WD drives was what appealed to me.

Just installed software, and all my drives are shown under “Backup Source”, but only my Passport Ultra and Dropbox are displayed in “Backup Target”. Why are my other drives (which are displayed under “Backup Source”) NOT showing up under “Backup Target”, i.e. as possible target for my backups???  I want to backup some of my files to the attached drives (non-WD) but they are not showing up.  Am I missing something? This is frustrating.  Thanks for any help on this matter.

Hello,

The WD Smartware Pro should allow you to see non -WD drives as target for your backup. But they have to be USB drives. It does not support non-WD network drives.
