Let’s pretend here that I’m not a desktop support engineer, a network admin, or any sort of computer expert. Let’s discuss simple stuff. I can simply move a file on my PC to a file on my external HDD. That’s simple stuff. When I bought this My Cloud Home device, I assumed wrongly, that it too was simple stuff. It’s not! I can rebuild my computer, connect NAS, punch down ethernet and fibre, and connect servers to switches to set up a server farm. What I can’t seem to do is drag and drop a file from my PC to this My Cloud Home device. Why is that so difficult for a cloud storage device? Let’s look at this another way, it’s infinitely simple to set up a drop box or drag and drop files to Google Drive, all that is simple to do. This My Cloud Home, isn’t simple. What would anyone make a product with such an unproductive interface and in a way that will not allow you to simply drag and drop a file to the storage device? Can someone explain to me where I’m going wrong, or if it’s not a me thing at all, it’s just the device?
