Setting a Password on My Passport for MAC

I came across this old thread:

It provides a link to a place where I can supposedly download some software which will enable me to setup a password, at:

I think it should be ‘WD Security for Mac’? But this is greyed out…there doesn’t appear to be a link? Does anyone know if this is still possible? 

Also, the drive I would like to set a password on already has files on it, so I want to be sure that adding security after files are already there is not going to cause them to be wiped or anything?
