I created a Safepoint backup to a USB drive. It only used 470 GB of space on the 2 TB USB. However, when I looked at the backed up files one of the larger folders on the USB drive is smaller in size and number of files total when compared to the source. As there are a large number of sub-folders I have not been able to see so far what may be missing. It also changed the name of that top folder from lower case to upper case letters. In another Share there are duplicates of many of the files in question. Does Safepoint try to save space perhaps if it sees duplicates?
Safepoint backup created duplicate always and creates a new backup. I am also facing this.
