I am using this new external drive on my desktop PC to replace my older 1 TB WD MyBook. The PC is under the table and all the connections are hard to get access to. I would like a longer USB so I can connect one time to the back of the PC and not be pulling it out from the PC connection each time I want to disconnect it. I see many cables on Amazon as 3.0 USB a Male to Micro B 3 Feet. Will these work OK? Any in particular recommended?
The drive might not get enough power to spin if you use a long wire.
