Replace HDD Drive in MyBook Case

Hi,

I bought a mybook case bacause i wanted to use it with internal WD green drives I have currently in other external devices.
Unfortunately the drives are not correctly recognized by windows when I plug them with the case on my computer so I cannot use them.

Do I need to run a specific initialization procedure?
Is there a restriction which drive could be used in such a case?
Or is the case damaged?

I’m having problem with 3month old mybook sometimes not recognised and reading around other forums and WD’s
Looks like My Book’s 2009 on automatically encrypt your data whether you like it or not
so it may need to be a matched drive and case or set up
do fit it later want to take it out of the case or case hardware fails you’ve got an encrypted drive
that you may have to take to data recovery
