Remote Backup EX4100 to EX4100 Setup Issues

I’m trying to set up Remote Backup between my 2 EX4100 units. I’ve followed all instructions but keep getting a Failed RSync test which prevents me from choosing a destination on the backup unit. When I go into the Port Forwarding settings, the Status says Failed. Currently both units are connected through a switch into the same router in the same location, so maybe they need to have unique IP addresses for this to work? Please help!

As you are facing RSync test issue while choosing a destination on backup unit, Please make sure you don’t have any spaces in the backup job’s name. Also please make sure both the devices have unique IP address and following:

1.The router that the devices are connected to supports UPnP and UPnP is enabled
2.SSH is enabled

If that doesn’t resolve the issue you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.

Thank you. I will check the backup job name and the router settings.
Question - As both units are currently in the same location to setup and test, how would you suggest assigning unique IP addresses to each?
