Registration question for easystore 3.0 usb

Hi everyone! Hopefully someone can give me some helpful insight. I’m trying to register my easystore portable drive, and when I select the easystore 3.0 usb option, the remaining fields grey out and I’m not allowed to enter in any information. On the box it clearly says ‘internet activation required’. Does anyone have any idea why it wont allow me to register my device?

The reply link does the same thing. I just bought an EasyStore from Best Buy, and I too, cannot register the device. The important fields are greyed out. ??

Same problem here. I tried using the easystore USB 3.0 flash drive option and the other products option, but neither worked.

I found my problem. In attempting to register, I was using the serial number on the box. Had to use a magnifying glass to read it, but after the eighth digit and before the last three digits, there was something that looked like an asterisk or some other special character or maybe just a smudge. Today, I took a look at the drive itself, and again using a magnifying glass, in the place where the asterisk thing was on the box, there is a 1. After seeing that, I looked back at the number on the box, and sure enough it is a tiny 1 raised above the base line that the rest of the serial number is on. Using that 1 in the serial number, I was able to register. Also, I used the “other products” category in the drop list, rather than the “easystore” choice, as the latter appears to apply just to the flash drive.
