Recover deleted files from WD My Passport external drive

Hi!I have a 1 TB WD My Passport External Drive which I use with my machine with Windows 7 OS.I configured WD Smartware to always backup a particular Drive D on my laptop whenever I connect the WD HDD to my laptop.

However,someone accidentally deleted some of my files from both my laptop and from the folder where Smartware automatically stores the backup of my laptop drive D.

is there anyway I can retrieve the deleted files from WD?files were deleted almost 2 weeks ago.

You might be able to get the files using a data recovery softare.

Search online to see if you can get one for free that can help you with that.
