Hi all. I am new to WD products, as well as this forum. I bought a WD My Passport at the end of December, and had tried numerous times to just register the product - haven’t even used the product yet. I have always had a problem with Captcha’s & recaptcha’s on my Win 8 desktop - if any site uses them, more often than not, there is no visible indication that there is anything there. I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, usually to no avail. I then will try the same on a Win 10 laptop, using Edge browser, and typically have no problems…that is, until WD! On the product registration site, it clearly shows the reCaptcha and to select “I am not a robot.” I check it off, and all it does is ‘process’ and never gets to a confirmation. I had thought for a while that it was just a temporary glitch, and would try at other times. Same thing today, and when I thought I could simply email “Support,” I realized that there too, you must go through the confirmation of not being a robot. I tried calling the Support numbers given, and there is no option for me to get through to a human. This much trouble, and I haven’t even used the product yet! I hope this is not a sign of what to expect with WD products.
Does anyone know of any other way I can register my product or of any other way to contact WD Support - without having to prove I am indeed a human, not a robot?
