Problem with my portable external drive

Hi,
This is my first post on the WDC forums. I have a My Passport Essentials SE drive attached to my PC running Windows 10. I downloaded the WD Drive Utilities application and ran it with the following results:

Run Drive Status Check: SMART status passed.
Run Quick Drive Test: Quick Drive Test failed.
Run Complete Drive Test: Complete Drive Test failed.

I then ran CHKDSK on the drive. It found and corrected a couple issues. Then I ran the Windows defragmenter on it. After that was completed I once again executed the above three WD Drive Utilities, but the results were unchanged.

Can someone please help me figure out what the problem might be? Thanks in advance.

OK, I think that I figured out the problem. The WD Drive Utilities application isn’t compatible with My Passport Essential SE drive. I ran the drive tests in the WD SmartWare and they came out “clean”, i.e., no issues. Consequently, I uninstalled the WD Drive Utilities application.
