Passport for Mac - Read Only

Hi there,

Yesterday I bought a 1Tb Passport for Mac - as soon as I connected it to my MacBook Pro I carried out a Time Machine back-up.

Once it had successfully completed the Time Machine back-up, I noticed that the status of the Passport is now set to Read-Only. Why is this? And how can this be changed to read/write?
