No My Book Live found - OS X

I try to install my new My Book Live 2 Tb but the setup cannot find it. I will only get a message “No My Book Live found”. All the lights are correct. I tried the setup with my girlfriend’s PC and worked fine, so the drive is not broken.

I use iMac 2008 with OS 10.6.8.

I can find the drive through Finder where under “Shared” I can get into files like “Public”, “SmartWare” and “TimeMachineBackup”.

Anyone idea what might be the problem?
